Zetoc RSS Service

Many of the major publishers (a notable exception is Elsevier's ScienceDirect) provide tables of contents of new issues as RSS feeds (more information is available in our previous blog entry). In the past you want to be alerted to new content in a journal that did not have an RSS capability you had to rely on either registering to receive an eTOC (table of contents by email) or running an alert search against one of the bibliographic databases.

Now there is a new RSS service from Zetoc*. The RSS service allows you to subscribe to feeds of tables of contents for individual journals. These include titles published by Elsevier and other publishers who don't currently have their own RSS feeds.

To access the service go to the Zetoc Homepage at http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk and click on the Zetoc RSS link.

For more information see http://zetoc.mimas.ac.uk/rss.html

*The Zetoc database is built by British Library indexing the tables of contents from 20,000 journals and 16,000 conference proceedings each year.
