BIOME becomes Intute: Health and Life Sciences
The Intute service was launched on Thursday 13th July 2006. Intute is the new face of the Resource Discovery Network (RDN), and is a free national service enabling lecturers, researchers and students to discover and access quality Internet resources. Intute exists to advance education and research by promoting the most intelligent use of the Internet.
Intute: Health and Life Sciences replaces the former BIOME service and provides information and tools to help you access the best of the Web in the health and life sciences. The new Intute: Health and Life Sciences service is found at: http://www.intute.ac.uk/healthandlifesciences/
Within Intute: Health and Life Sciences there are 6 subject specific gateways which replace the BIOME ones:
- OMNI becomes Intute: Medicine http://www.intute.ac.uk/medicine/
- NMAP becomes Intute: Nursing http://www.intute.ac.uk/nursing/
- VetGate becomes Intute: Veterinary http://www.intute.ac.uk/veterinary/
- AgriFor becomes Intute: Agriculture http://www.intute.ac.uk/agriculture/
- Natural becomes Intute: Natural History http://www.intute.ac.uk/nature/
- BioRes becomes Intute: Bioresearch http://www.intute.ac.uk/bioresearch/
