Microsoft launches rival for Google Scholar

The Scientist today has an article on the beta launch of Windows Live Academic Search (WLAS). WLAS will index peer-reviewed articles from publishers such as Elsevier, Nature Publishing Group and Wileys. This is another discovery tool to compare with the commercial databases such as SCOPUS, Web of Knowledge, Zetoc and free tools such as Google Scholar which is also currently a beta launch.
